You will leave this weekend with more than you came with. That's a guarantee.\n2. We will not only learn the tricks\, but we'll also learn why tricks and techniques are done certain ways\, and how to train and execute them them safely. Safety is the name of the game. The name of the game? Safety.\n\n10:00am - 11:30am - Beginner/Improver\nHandstands\nHandstands are like hard drugs. Initially; they’re scary\, difficult to acquire and you’ll feel like you can never do enough. But with the right people by your side; you’ll soon find they’re much easier to acquire\, you’ll be doing them all the time\, and once you do enough; you won't be able to get them off your mind. - - - Let us help you on your path to becoming a handstand junkie.\n\n11:30am - 1:00pm - Beginner/Improver\nThe Essentials of F2H and H2H\nFoot to Hand and Hand to Hand are not only super cool tricks\, but they are one of the foundation elements of any partner acrobatic practice. So it’s worth learning how to do them properly as the lessons and techniques you’ll learn in this class will last you throughout your entire partner acrobatic journey and practice.\nAnd since we just spent so much time working on our handstands\, this is gonna be a breeze!\n\nWe’ll go through everything: from the little\, commonly overlooked details that make a successful F2H or H2H\, to the big\, more obvious details and we’ll also be giving you some incredibly useful strength and mobility work\, as well as explaining some of the variations you commonly see and why you see them.\n\n1:00pm - 2:00pm\nI bet you’re feeling hungry because you didn’t want to eat too big a breakfast before you do a bunch of acrobatics. Smart move\, but now you’re starving. Go eat.\n\n2:00 - 4:00pm - Beginner/Improver + Intermediate/Advanced\nAcrobatics + Tumbling\nNo frills\, plenty of spills and definitely some thrills. We’ll guide you through the essential acrobatic movements that will help propel you into acrobatic superstardom\, but also help keep you safe.\nAcrobatics is a house built of bricks\, no wait. It’s a pyramid built of stones\, no wait. It’s a ship\, built of planks\, no wait. Ok whatever. Acrobatics is basically built on a series of progressive foundational elements\, without which; you will die. No joke. Straight up dead. Ded. R.I.P. Gone. Down. Worm Food. Deaded. Ok\, maybe not dead but you get the point. It's bad.\n\n4:00pm - 6:00pm - Intermediate/Advanced\nEverything you wanted to know about Hand to Hand (but were too scared to ask)\nHand to Hand is not only a super cool trick\, but it’s also one of the foundational elements of any partner acrobatic practice. So it’s worth learning how to do them properly. The lessons and techniques you’ll learn in this class will last you throughout your entire partner acrobatic journey and practice.\nWe’ll go through everything: from the little\, commonly overlooked details that make a successful H2H\, to the big\, more obvious details and we’ll also be giving you some incredibly useful strength and mobility work\, as well as explaining some of the variations you commonly see and why you see them.\n\n6:00pm - 7:00pm\nLet’s play my favourite game; ‘Hungry\, Hungry Hippos’. Except\, instead of hippos it’s acrobats. And instead of a game\, it’s serious-business because you’re hungry.\n\n7:00pm - 9:00pm - Intermediate/Advanced\nInlocate\nThe ‘Standing Acrobatics’ special. The class that put us on the map and made people stop and say “I cannot understand his accent at all.’ Inlocate. I’ve taught this to hundreds of people across America and now I’m bringing my method and progressions right to your door. When the doorbell rings\, don’t lie in bed ignoring me because you’re cozy and the door is all the way downstairs. Come down\, open it up\, invite me in (I drink coffee\, not tea) and let’s nail this inlocate business.\n\n\n URL:http://sancaseattle.org/calendar/standing-acrobatics-acro-workshop/ LOCATION:674 S. We will not only learn the tricks\, but we'll also learn why tricks and techniques are done certain ways\, and how to train and execute them them safely. Safety is the name of the game. The name of the game? Safety.\n\nSunday 2nd:\n\n10:00am - 11:30am - Beginner/Improver\n\nIcarian Games\n\nIcarian is a traditional circus discipline that you regularly see in people’s acrobatic practices all across America. All that bouncing\, popping\, rebounding and catching can look scary and complicated! But have no fear because in this class we’ll demystify the mysterious\, simplify the complex and turn fear into fun.\n\nOnce we’ve mastered the basic principles of the tempo\, we’ll look at some fun and exciting icarian pass the flyer variations.\n\n11:30am - 1:00pm - Beginner/Improver\n\nTrios - Dynamic and Static\n\nFirst\, we’ll look at the heteronormative and archaically titled world and material of: ‘toss the girl’. A super old school circus discipline whereby one flyer gets tossed\, swung and caught by two burly bases. But because this is 2017 we won’t tie you down into antiquated gender roles for this class\, oh no. As long as the flyers are tight\, and the bases are strong; we’ll toss anybody.\n\nAll good things come in threes. Musketeers. Destiny’s Child. Stooges. So find some friends and pick who gets to be the good\, who gets to be the bad\, and who gets to be the ugly (sorry to that person\, maybe you need new friends?).\n\nWe’ll build towers\, we’ll build structures\, we’ll do things you didn’t imagine were possible. And you’ll do them all surrounded\, support and probably falling on top of your friends.\n\n1:00pm - 2:00pm\n\nThe number one danger that faces any acrobat is becoming ‘hangry’. It’s the anger you feel when you’re hungry. Go eat.\n\n2:00 - 4:00pm - Beginner/Improver + Intermediate/Advanced\n\nAcrobatic Choreography\nWe’ve spent the past 6 years of our careers creating intricate\, unique\, and beautiful choreography that has appeared on stages all over the world. In this class we’ll let you drink the creative milk from our crea-teets. You’ll be the acrobatic calves\, we; the acrobatic cows.\n\nThis is by far the weirdest metaphor I’ve ever written\, and is in fact no indication of us as individuals. But how else can I write; ‘We’ll teach you a bunch of really cool\, really pretty stuff’?\n\n4:00pm - 6:00pm - Intermediate/Advanced\n\nJump To Extended\nEver feel like hand to hand has become too mainstream? Like\, don’t you just yearn for the days before hand to hand was cool and it was just you and your friends and your fancy yoga pants and your ironic little moustaches? Are you a hand to hand hipster? Jump on the next bandwagon before it becomes all corporate and sells out: extended hand to hand.\n\nWe’ll give you everything you need to know in order to achieve an extended (arms straight overhead) hand to hand. Including drills\, skills\, and mobility thrills and going all the way through to straight up (pun intended) strength work. You too can be an early adopter of the next big thing.\n\n6:00pm - 7:00pm\n\nWhatever you go and get\, bring me some too. And a coffee. Black. No sugar.\n\n7:00pm - 9:00pm - Intermediate/Advanced\n\nPitch + Pitch Half\nYou know what they say; “Life's a pitch\, and then you die.” I think. If you’re not familiar\, a pitch is when the base throws the flyer from their foot into the air\, and then (hopefully) catches them in reverse foot to hand. A pitch half is the same thing but with a 180 degree turn to end up in foot to hand.\n\nAfter this class you’ll be able to cross pitch off your bucket list\, and then you won’t have to fear the inevitable\, slow\, march towards death......but on a lighter note\, once you’ve crossed pitch off your list we’ll also then go and cross pitch half turn off your list too. We’ll cover the different styles of pitching\, why some work better than others and which ones will work best for you. From cheer style\, to old school russian circus style\, to sports acro\, to modern circus we’ve got every base covered.\n\nGet ready. It's gonna be hard. It's gonna be sweaty. But you're gonna learn so much your head might literally explode.\n\nN.B We are not responsible for any exploding heads URL:http://sancaseattle.org/calendar/standing-acrobatics-acro-workshop-2/ LOCATION:674 S.
