SANCA started with the dream to make the thrill of the circus accessible for all. Over the past 20 years, we’ve grown from a one-room warehouse to two expansive 25,000+ square-foot circus facilities, employing 100 dedicated staff, offering over 150+ classes during each enrollment period, and hosting 4 youth performance troupes. Over the past year, more than 40,000 people have experienced the magic of SANCA through our programming, performances, and events.
SANCA’s core mission is to improve the mental, emotional, and physical health of children of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities by engaging them in the joyous creativity of acrobatics and circus arts. Over the last 20 years, SANCA has provided over $2 million dollars in financial aid to ensure circus accessibility for all.
Class and program tuition only cover about 65% of the cost of running our programs. Community donations support the organization’s day-to-day operations – from the facilities maintenance and community outreach to our enrollment registrars and more, these contributions help ensure SANCA’s educational excellence and financial stability.
This past year has been particularly exciting with the expansion to a second space, Emerald City Trapeze Arts (ECTA). ECTA features a fabulous indoor flying trapeze rig and performance venue. Because of this growth, SANCA has been able to partner with community organizations to increase our growth and serve our circus access mission. However, with this growth comes a greater need for support.
Consider continuing your support by donating this fall. Your contribution, no matter the size, plays a vital role in keeping this unique and impactful organization thriving.
