Let Your Spectacular Out By Giving Big in 2022
SANCA’s mission is to improve the mental, emotional, and physical health of children of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities by engaging them in the joyous creativity of acrobatics and circus arts. Our innovative circus arts programs offer rewarding experiences that are physically challenging, socially enriching, and encourage creativity in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
SANCA is home to people of any age or skill level looking for a fun, holistic way to physically express themselves. Our circus arts programs broaden community engagement, reach diverse audiences, and encourage participation in the arts. Programs include classes and camps, a Youth Performance Program, Artist Residencies, performances and shows, and more.
SANCA provides youth with a safe, social, constructive environment for physical literacy and arts education. We partner with other organizations to bring circus to other neighborhoods and to youth who lack access. Partners include schools, community centers, and other non-profit organizations. Populations include immigrant and refugee youth, youth who are facing homelessness, and families who have the least access and opportunity to participate in healthy, creative, physical arts.
Circus is a highly accessible art form that offer many opportunities for people of differing abilities. We include people in our classes who have learning differences, trauma-related or mood disorders, or physical disabilities. Personal and social development is supported by nurturing self-esteem and helping to build trust in others, acquire social skills, express creativity, and realize one’s own potential.
SANCA’s Youth Scholarship Fund provides need-based tuition support for youth who are low income. In 2020 SANCA expanded this fund with a dedicated BIPOC Youth Scholarship to guarantee additional support for youth of color. Over 16 years, SANCA has provided $1,753,310 in tuition aid to 6,649 youth.
