David Taft, P3 Theater coach
David has worked in movement and physical theater for over forty years, performing mask, puppets, physical theatres, Commedia dell’Arte and clown with a number of ensemble theater companies, has extensive national touring credits, and performed Off-Broadway in NYC for five seasons. He has worked in Seattle at Theater For the New City, On The Boards, Seattle Rep, the Allegro Dance Series, Strawberry Theatre Workshop and Freehold Lab Theatre/Studio. He has been Artist-in-Residence instructor in mask and Commedia dell’Arte at the secondary and college level, a freelance movement coach and mask consultant for stage and television, and a radio voice-over artist. David trained actors in mask, movement, clown, circus arts and Theatrical Biomechanics at Cornish College of the Arts for twenty-four years as a full time professor in the theater program and has also taught classes and private workshops in the Seattle area. He trained with Carlo Mazzone-Clemente, Michael Howard, Tony Montanaro, and Gennadi Bogdanov; graduate of the Dell’Arte School; University of Washington, B.A.; Seattle University, Masters In Teaching.
