Erika Bergren (she/they) is an Alaskan writer and circus artist who grew up in the Netherlands and Oman. They learned aerial circus arts while living in Lingít Aaní (land of the Lingít people) in Southeast Alaska. They also have a rich background in theatre and have been lucky enough to act everywhere from the acting school they went to in NYC (AADA) to a tour through the Arctic Circle through Perseverance Theatre. They first came to SANCA in the beginning of 2019 for the January aerial intensive where they were introduced to a variety of other circus arts, after that they were hooked and have found their way back ever since! When they aren’t training up on their circus skills they’re most likely hiking with their sled dog mix, Pippin, writing poetry, or learning all sorts of new hobbies.
