Rose (she/her) grew up as a competitive dancer and gymnast, but she discovered circus in high school and it instantly became her favorite. She has trained in aerial arts at Sky Candy Austin, the Oberlin College Circus, and studios around Seattle, as well as performing pre-professionally in venues around the country. Her most extensive training is in aerial silks, but she also enjoys aerial rope, flying trapeze, static trapeze, and German wheel. She began working at SANCA in early 2021 as a youth circus coach and adult aerial instructor, and she’s eager to become the best circus artist and instructor that she can be. Her most exciting upcoming project is an apprenticeship with the local performance company Acrobatic Conundrum. When she’s not upside down, you can find her reading fantasy novels, playing Irish folk fiddle, and petting her cats.
