Tandy Versyp is a wandering writer. He’s lived in Texas, Alaska, and Georgia and currently lives in West Seattle with his husband and Blueberry, his Boston Terrier. He studied writing at SCAD, earned an MFA from Emerson College, and his feature screenplay Tender was a two-category finalist—and three-category semifinalist—in the 2020 Austin Film Festival Script Competition. But, please, don’t hold any of that against him. He doesn’t take himself too seriously. He tends to write dark comedy features and pilots, but he’s dabbled in fiction podcast episodes and graphic novels. He came to SANCA to explore the physical arts and champion their scholarships for underserved communities. And more than anything, he wants you to know that, in real life, he never refers to himself in the third person.
