Tara Adams

Board Vice-President

Prior to retiring, Tara served for 25 years as an Interim City Manager and Deputy City
Manager in Kirkland, Washington, and in the cities of Indio and Campbell, California.
After leaving city management, Tara started an executive search practice, conducting
recruitments for a variety of small and large cities, counties, and utilities.
Tara is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach, and received her
Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
Tara was a founder and board member of the Eastside Leadership Institute; and served
on the Board of Directors of the Washington City/County Managers’ Association, and
California Women in Government. She currently serves on the City of Bothell Salary
Commission.
Usually found outdoors, Tara enjoys hiking, skiing, sea kayaking, rowing her raft in
whitewater, and a fierce game of pickleball. She takes contact juggling lessons at
SANCA where she loves the challenge, and mutters at the frustration.
