Nimbus Circus
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
About Nimbus
Nimbus Circus, a troupe of talented and energetic 8-12 year-old students, was formed in January of 2010, originally under the name The Magnificent 7 (there were seven original members). All of the performers are students at SANCA who have worked hard to hone their skills in a wide variety of circus disciplines.
This troupe works together for several hours per week, creating acts in a variety of circus arts, including tightwire, rolling globe, trapeze, aerial fabric, juggling, jump rope, mini-trampoline, unicycle, and contortion. At this level, the performers begin to work out some of their own choreography for smaller group acts with guidance from their directors. As with any ensemble, each member brings his or her own artistry to the scene, but as a whole, the group is seriously committed to comedy.
Perhaps you’ve seen Nimbus Circus perform in Seattle’s Moisture Festival, SANCA’s Annual Spring Showcase (SASS), SANCAFEST, “Up, with a Twist!”, Artopia, the Magnolia SeaFair Parade, or at one of their many “walk-about” performances. Future goals for Nimbus Circus include jumping higher, flipping every which way, and trying everything at least once.
