Celestial Circus

About Celestial:
Celestial Circus is SANCA’s performance troupe that serves teens with marginalized identities within the SANCA community. It is a year-round performance program that gives students aged 12 – 18 an opportunity to train once a week with a focus on group creation and group performance. Celestial Circus aims to instill resilience, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging through performance. Celestial Circus’s motto is “Creating art through community”
Celestial Circus performs in all SANCA school-wide shows, including SANCA’s Annual Showcase Spectacular (SASS), SANCAfest, and “Up, With A Twist!” gala. You may have also seen them perform elsewhere in the greater Seattle area at events like Georgetown Carnival, Seattle’s Moisture Festival, Pride Parade and Winterfest. Additionally, this troupe develops and performs their own annual full-length production each Summer.
