Location: ECTA or SANCA as assigned

Position Title: Camps Lead Coach
Reports To: Head Coach
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hours may vary based on specific camp needs)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Camp Coach to join our team. This position involves supervising and assisting in the management of on-site camp activities at ECTA and SANCA as assigned by the Head Camp Coach. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, a proactive problem solver, and have a strong background in camps, circus arts, and the EBC/CAP framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Head Camp Coach and Assistant Head Camp Coach.
  • Supervise day-to-day camp activities to ensure safety, engagement, and alignment with camp goals.
  • Assist in managing and coordinating schedules, activities, and resources for on-site programs, including filling in as a Camp Coach when necessary .
  • Serve as a point of contact for parents during camp check-in and check-out, providing professional and courteous communication regarding camp activities, updates, and any concerns.
  • Actively participate in camp activities, modeling positive behavior and engagement for campers.
  • Address and resolve challenges or conflicts promptly, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Support staff training and mentorship as needed, fostering a collaborative and enthusiastic team atmosphere.
  • Store and provide medications to campers according to Sanca’s policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (required).
  • Proven experience working in camps, circus arts, and familiarity with the EBC/CAP framework (required).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think quickly in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with parents, campers, and staff.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with a focus on creating a safe and engaging environment for campers.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a camp or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of and experience with circus skills and activities.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Work Location:

  • On-site at ECTA and SANCA, with potential for additional locations as needed.
